Summary: Our lovely customer Mrs Sorrell, first came to us in February 2023, when we coated her exterior walls. This time however, it was the roofs turn for a makeover.
Years of build-up of Moss, Algae and Lichen, had completely covered the roof giving it a very tired and dirty look. Not only did it mean that it had lost its looks, it was also causing damage and if left, could have meant some possibly costly work in the future.
There are several stages to the roof cleaning and roof coating process all of which are completed by our own, fully insured, in-house teams.
First of all we make sure that everything has been moved from around the property to ensure nothing is damaged whilst the clean is taking place. As you will see below, the roof also has solar panels, which we take great care round, but will also clean safely.
The roof cleaning process involves a controlled wash, meaning we can use as little amount of pressure as we need meaning no damage to your roof. This would then be followed with a Biocide to help keep the moss and algae coming back for, on average, 3- 5 years. The picture below shows the roof once this process has all been done!
On this occasion Mrs Sorrell chose Properla Rustic for the final stage of her restoration. This is applied using 2 coats to make sure that the paint has a solid finish. It will also provide a surface that will repel water, create a self-cleaning service and also cones with a 10 year manufacturer warranty
As you can see from the image below, the final stage has really set the house off! When they say a picture speaks a thousand words! Mrs Sorrell was over the Moon!
